Bruce Dowad is a multi-disciplinary artist working in film, photography, painting and graphic design. He lives and works between London and Los Angeles.

Canadian born, he graduated from the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art and Design), where he studied graphic design and film animation. A career in advertising followed, first as an agency art director and then a move into directing commercials. He received international acclaim for a body of high profile work for clients as illustrious as Mercedez-Benz, Coca-Cola, American Express and Canada Tourism, to name just a few. Recognized as a master of his craft, he has won every major industry award multiple times, including the highest honor by the Directors Guild of America.

Canada House in London held an exhibition of his storyboards and commercials and he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the Emily Carr University of Art and Design

From his studio in Brixton, he is developing new works, as well as photographic projects across the world.
